The sign at work clearly indicates the challenge: AVOIDANCE. Much like you, others have interpreted the algorithm. They understand that inspiration is merely the starting point. While many believe that's where the real magic lies, it’s not the entire story.

People often wonder, "What went wrong?" When faced with setbacks, the confusion is palpable. Many have praised their brilliant ideas as winners. With just a sprinkle of recognition and a boost to their ego, they anticipate success, mistakenly believing that the inspiration alone is enough to drive them forward. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. It simply won’t happen.

True Story

This computer was celebrated as the best at Comdex in 1999. It took thousands of hours of dedication from a small team to evolve from a spark of inspiration to a product ready for the market. However, the Chairman believed he could accomplish everything by himself, as it was his idea from four years prior.

He ended the partnership with a national organization that was set to handle distribution. He dismissed all but himself and his CFO, convinced he didn’t require their expertise or contributions. He dismantled the mastermind group.

He assumed the groundwork had been laid and he could just enjoy the fruits of their labor. Have you ever heard of the Qbe computer? Most people wouldn’t unless they worked there. It failed due to a lack of effort and an inflated ego.

You Can't Rely on Miracles

"But Dr. Rawson, I prayed for this idea, believing God wouldn't let me down, and it failed," he lamented. The response is this: While the inspiration may have been divine, the expectation is that you must put in the work.
