The Initial Days

During my first three days, I had nearly no followers and received just a handful of views on my two or three articles. Despite this, I found joy in writing and sharing insights, so I persisted. After eight days of steady writing and engaging with fellow writers, I surpassed the 100-follower mark. This milestone was crucial for entering the Medium Partner Program, but I hesitated to apply due to fears of rejection. Ultimately, I took the plunge and was accepted into the program within 24 hours. What a relief!

A Slow Start

Although earning money from my articles was a nice perk, I didn’t observe a significant change in my earnings. I wasn’t expecting to make over $100 immediately, but I thought I would see more activity. Over the next five days, I earned about $0.35 total—better than nothing, yet still quite minimal.

An Unexpected Turn

On day 16, I published an article titled "20 Ways to Earn $2000/Month—How I Do It," and it was a game changer. My views skyrocketed from 10-20 daily to 200-500. One day, I almost reached 1,000 views on that article alone. Currently, it has nearly 1,800 views, which feels monumental for a relatively new writer.

This surge in visibility significantly boosted my earnings, and here’s why.

You may be curious about my total earnings for the first 20 days—they amount to approximately $25.

While some might wonder why I included my eBook sales, it’s worth noting that those sales were directly influenced by my Medium audience. I’ve received positive feedback from a customer who expressed enthusiasm about my book and is now working on creating their first app to generate passive income. Hence, it’s reasonable to incorporate my eBook sales into my overall Medium income.

Final Thoughts

Writing daily can be challenging, especially when the increase in income feels minimal compared to the effort put in to provide value.
