Embracing My Journey: A Writer's Tale from India
Written on
Chapter 1: Introduction
Hello there! I'm Pushpender Yadav, hailing from Bharat, commonly referred to as India. At 28 years old, I find myself immersed in the world of part-time writing.
My journey as a writer began during my school days. In a time without dedicated writing platforms, I filled journals and notebooks that I would ultimately burn at the year’s end. Over the past decade, my writing has spanned multiple genres, including:
- Humor
- Informative articles
- Sensitive topics
- Observational pieces
- Personal experiences and relationships
- Meditation and self-growth
- My life narrative
- SEO-focused content
- Brand marketing articles
- Documentation for small startups, including privacy and refund policies
Many of my pieces achieve high rankings on Google and other search engines, which is crucial in today’s digital age. I embarked on my professional writing path in 2018, starting with Quora, where I have garnered over 1.5 million views.
Following my graduation, I ventured into the startup ecosystem, collaborating with various companies in sectors like blockchain, AI, shoppable videos, fashion, review sites, and education. My roles varied widely, including strategist, social media manager, business growth manager, content analyst, and Facebook ad manager.
My experiences in these startups were enlightening, yet I often felt unfulfilled due to their tendency to pivot unexpectedly, largely influenced by investor pressures. This unpredictability leads to last-minute strategic shifts, complicating the work environment.
Thus, I decided to take a step back last year to pursue my own path. I started traveling and reengaged with my writing. With youth on my side, I have several ideas I wish to develop, but first, I aim to solidify my identity as a writer.
Currently, I'm dedicated to writing full-time on Medium and occasionally contribute to brands, though I primarily steer clear of external commitments. I have plans to share more of my journey through my writing in due course.
Chapter 2: My Writing Focus
As previously mentioned, my varied life experiences have shaped my writing focus. Right now, I concentrate on sharing my life stories and observational pieces drawn from my daily encounters.
In the future, I intend to continue this approach on Medium, with my tech articles reflecting practical knowledge gained through direct engagement with diverse technologies and projects.
Section 2.1: Personal Insights
I tend to keep my personal life private on social media, but like many, I enjoy indulging in good food. I've played soccer and cricket for my school and college teams. Although I hold a Master's degree in Economics, I’m not particularly skilled at managing finances.
Moreover, I pride myself on being an excellent researcher with a hands-on approach. Much of my time is devoted to exploring, reading, and seeking answers to my myriad questions. I often find myself disillusioned with the world, as many do. I aspire to write critically about issues I perceive as unjust, but platforms for free expression often feel scarce.
In the coming months, I plan to delve deeper into my perspectives on global changes and unity through my writing.
Reflecting on my childhood, I used to relish play, but nowadays, I'm unsure of my passions. Writing invigorates me and encourages me to think beyond conventional limits.
One aspect worth noting is my 10+ years of meditation practice, which I began early in life.
All these facets define who I am and what I stand for. To encapsulate my philosophy, I often refer to this simple yet profound quote: "Simple is royal." These three words summarize my mindset. Additionally, I have a fondness for reading comics.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
