# Elon Musk's Strategic Move: Why Acquiring Apple Makes Sense

Chapter 1: The Vision of an All-Encompassing App
Elon Musk has recently taken the plunge to purchase Twitter, which is merely a stepping stone towards his ambitious goal of developing "X, the everything app." He shared this vision on the social media platform just yesterday:
This leads us to a rather intriguing question: What components are essential for such an app to thrive, and how does Musk plan to address these needs systematically? (That wasn’t really a question, but it certainly sounds good.)
The solution for internet connectivity lies in Starlink. To tackle the issues of online harassment and bots, flamethrowers from the Boring Company will come into play.
Of course, an all-inclusive app would lack completeness without travel capabilities. That’s where Tesla and SpaceX come into the picture. SpaceX will manage space travel, while Tesla will cater to terrestrial and aquatic travel needs. Musk recently disclosed that the Cybertruck would be "waterproof enough to serve briefly as a boat," enabling it to navigate rivers, lakes, and even calm seas.
An all-encompassing app also requires more than just a basic smartphone or computer to function. How could it possibly impact your brain's dopamine levels? The connection issue will be resolved by Neuralink engineers, who focus on creating "ultra high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to link humans and computers." Ideally, this interface could eventually modify our brain chemistry. While the technology isn’t quite there yet, with plans to colonize Mars on the horizon, it seems like a reasonable expectation.
So, why is Elon Musk contemplating the acquisition of Apple? It appears he has a lot already, right?
Not quite!
The need to purchase Apple does not stem from its exceptional operating system, talented engineers, or unparalleled technical expertise. Instead, Musk faces a design dilemma. Just take a look at the Cybertruck—it's quite the eyesore!
This is precisely why Musk is interested in acquiring Apple: for its design talent. Captain Obvious may not have straightforward solutions for this or other intricate challenges, indicating he isn’t quite ready to dive into politics just yet. Stay tuned for more of his enlightening observations.
